My battery life is so low! Even if it is not turned on it won't last 24 hours. If I use it at all, it won't last more than a few hours. Is anyone else having this problem?

I use a battery saving app called "green power free" and it helps me save my battery. 8 hrs later it is still at 80%

Juice defender is also a really helpful app. Can you post a screenshot of your battery usage or post a list of what shows up on the battery usage chart? Should be under settings and if not you may be able to download an app such as battery indicator and that will give you a list of battery usage statistics. A pic or list of this could help diagnose the problem also
It also depends on which OS your phone is running on. I believe before my Ally updated to Froyo I was running 2.1 and the OS before and Froyo has greatly improved my battery life.

Yes froyo does seem to have a little better battery life
Thanks for the tips. I'll check them out as soon as my phone gets thru charging. I can't believe that you can't turn the phone on when it is plugged in for charging. Is this normal for this phone?
What phone do you have. I have never tried turning it on while charging so I wouldn't be able to answer that question.
