Do you have an XPeria X10? Or do you have a Galaxy Tab? If it's not the former then you'll have to wait.

It's the X10 that was updated. The carrier I bought my galaxy from has said the Galaxy is not going to get the update. There is a reason I don't use Telstra!
The update was through PC companion. I was setting up my new work computer and had to download it from the Sony site, as soon as it was installed it said I had an update waiting.

    Initial reaction to the upgrade:

    1. Make sure you back up all your data and make a list of your apps, the update will reset the phone.
    2. Check before you update that your apps can be downloaded from the market again - I lost 2 because they are no longer available and I didn't copy them.

    First days impressions:

Battery life seems to be improved - that could be related in part to the things I didn't put back on the phone.
The problem I was having with google disappeared, I now have 2 google accounts on my phone which I couldn't do last week.
It is much faster to get the MP3 player going, there is even a widget to just hit play. It now has conventional menus instead of mediascape that was a pain to get to the right bit.
Zinio app can now be on the phone I don't know how often I will attempt to read a magazine on such a small screen but some have a plain text option for reading. You get some free mags just for downloading the app too.
DH could send me a message on google+ previously and it would come through to the phone, that wasn't working. Then I discovered an app called Talk that was what we were using without knowing it! (Yes you can laugh)
Apps are now scrolled sideways instead of up and down and you can sort them alphabetically, recently installed, most used or manually. (Big improvement)
Media discovery is new bloatware that lists you tube media and can be set to update automatically. Warning: automatic is the default setting.
The look is clean with your wallpaper showing through in the apps screens now.

    New widgets:
    1. Data traffic - turn off/on data
    2. cell information - doesn't appear to do anything other than show the name of the carrier on the home screen.

I just updated my husband's phone, he had a 512mb micro SD card (I pinched his 8GB for my tablet) as he doesn't store much.

After update the phone couldn't read it, I tried it in my phone, it couldn't read it either, my tablet had no trouble reading it (7" Galaxy on Froyo).

He's off to buy a huge card to put his music on now.

no because it was an excuse to finally get the card he wanted to load up the mp3 player.
