HTC Evo 4G Root Method Updated- Those who lost root with OTA 1.47.651.1 Rejoice!
For those of you who accepted the recent OTA update 1.47.651.1 and lost root, no need to fret any longer. The cunning fellas over at XDA have yet again devised a completely new method for rooting your device. This method takes advantage of a vulnerability made available when tweaking Flash Lite options on your Evo 4G's Browser (Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel). You will need to have access to (and sufficient knowledge of) ADB and quick fingers to get this method to work.
Check out the complete guide, along with all necessary script files and links, over at XDA.
Remember, we are not responsible for phones damaged or modified in any way. And even though this method seems to be rather successful, we do not recommend trying this without extensive background knowledge of ADB and Linux.
Has anyone tried this method yet? Any luck?

Root EVO. Copyrighted Apps no longer available. Updates no longer available from Sprint.
Why am I rooting again? Oh, yeah, to get one app...hotspot.
