Yeah. You only need the stock recovery to accept an OTA. I am running the ROM now, it seems smoother to me than the custom kernels/ROMs.

It sounds like your solution will wipe out your information on your phone. Don't want to do that. There's a way to do it without erasing anything I just can't figure it out.

Flashing a rom does wipe your info thats why you use Titanium back up and nand back up. You will have to reset your apps on your phone but you wont lose them.

If you're rooted, then it really is no big deal at all to wipe and restore your phone with Titanium. It takes a whopping 10 minutes to get you back to where you were before flashing/wiping.

I was able to do it without wiping anything. But I will learn to use titanium sooner or later. I Really need to backup my stuff.

Regardless of the fact that you were able to update without losing anything, it's still good practice to wipe data/cache/dalvik when flashing a new ROM. It's like repairing Windows vs. doing a clean install. Always better to do it clean.

Titanium is one of the first things to look into once rooted. It is an invaluable tool.

Hey unrooted users that got the update. Try the app ShootMe and see if it works for you now. Reports are that ShootMe is now working for unrooted users. Let us know
