I Want a Smartphone

I have been with sprint for many years now, but i have never had a smartphone before. I am in the market for a smartphone for my wife and I. We are not eligable for an "upgrade" until Nov. 2012. The phones we are looking at cost about $500 each from Sprint. That is just way too much money for us to spend on phones.
I was looking at online stores that sell used smartphones and I found what seems to be a good deal. For a Epic 4g, it was 229.99. It says it is in Excellent conditon. The Website is www.cellularcountry.com Is this a good company??

I really need you guy's advice. I do not want to get ripped off or buy a bad phone. If you guys can also recommend me another online store that sells good condition phones cheaper than they are new from Sprint.

As far as the phone is concerned, I have a friend with the same one, and he loves it, and am thinking of getting one myself if Sprint isn't going to be getting anything better in the next couple months
