    Are you talking about google voice? (visual voicemail is an iPhone thing).

    Google voice has a configurable "refresh" time.

    Most of the update stuff (gmail, etc.) have a configurable interval for updates/refreshes

    Faster refresh == more battery

    Do you have it configured on T-Mobiles side?

    Visual Voicemail has to be set up by a T-Mobile rep. You can call em up and have it added to your plan for free.

    But you have to have the correct phone on your plan, so if you are using a older type of data plan, or myfaves data etc, it might not work either.

    I set it all up on my nexus, and it was working fine, but when deleting the voicemails on the app itself, it wouldn't delete them, AND the stupid voicemail notification wouldn't register them being listened to. Completely useless for me.

    Go to the Tmobile website and choose your phone as HTC My Touch. Since they don't have an option for the N1, that is the closest phone. My Touch is also compatible with Visual Voice Mail. I tried this and have no problems with the app....well very little problems. Also go to the app and under settings select "Syc Inbox."
    Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!
