T-Mobile myTouch 4G rated 4.25 out of 5 by Wireless and Mobile News' Review of Reviews

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G received two Editor's Choice awards from reviewers who likde the solid design, fast HSPA+ network speed, Wi-Fi calling, hotspot features and great voice commands. Reviewers also praised the voice call quality, media support and good photo quality. The T-Mobile myTouch 4G comes in black, white and red.

The only function that did not work well on the T-Mobile myTouch 4G, was the front facing camera for video chat, two reviewers commented that video chat did not work well.

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G has a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, 1GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera, a preinstalled 8 GB microSD memory card and 4GB memory on board..Features include quad-band world roaming, a speakerphone, conference calling, voice dialing, text and multimedia messaging, Bluetooth, DLNA support, and GPS.

Although not technically 4G, T-Mobile calls HSPA+ 4G and does offer fast data speeds. he new myTouch 4G also features preloaded HD games, including "Rock Band," "Asphalt 5" and "Monopoly."

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G sells for $99.99 with a 2-year contract directly from T-Mobile. If you want a super AMOLED touchsreen then the Samsung Vibrant may be your smartphone and for a keyboard check out the T-Mobile G2. There will also be a Samsung Galaxy S super AMOLED 4G smartphone coming out soon.

Amazon Wireless as of this writing as discounted the price of the T-Mobile myTouch 4G to $49.99 with a contact. Get T-Mobile myTouch 4G, for a limited time only, for as low as $49.99 for new customers with a contract from Wirefly.

Sascha Segan at PCMag rated the T-Mobile myTouch 4G 4.5 out of 5 and gave it Editor's choice for having the latest processor, Wi-Fi calling, hotpsot mode and awesome voice commands. He called it the best smartphone experience T-Mobile has to to offer with a fast processor, HSPA+ data speed, Wi-Fi and more power than competitors. The myTouch 4G feels expensive, has a small touchpad and hard control buttons for Android. Voice quality is very good. Nuance's Dragon Dictation the voice commands are great, for dictatng entire text messages and voice dialing. Wi-Fi calling worked but was touch n' go. Tethering and hotspot worked and coss $14.99/month when purchased with T-Mobile's $30, 5 GB data plan. The myTouch 4G comes preloaded with Android 2.2.1 Froyo with T-Mobile and HTC software. Speed benchmarks were very fast. Media support is great and the media room app plays music, video, FM radio and Slacker radio. DoubleTwist is included for easy media syncing.

Bonnie Cha at CNET rated the T-Mobile myTouch 4G 4 out of 5, for its sturdy stainless steel design, Android 2.2, HSPA+, Wi-Fi calling and mobile hotspot capabilities,. She also liked the 1GHz snapdragon processor and 5-megapixel camera. She didn't like that video chat did not work well. Call quality is great. The UI is a combination of T-Mobile software and HTC Sense. HSPA+ speeds were as high a 7.07Mps down and 1.33Mbps up. Photo quality was good. The processor was very responsive.

Sean Ludwig at Laptop rated the T-Mobile myTouch 4G 4 out of 5 and gave it Editor's Choice. He liked the fast data speeds, Wi-Fi hotspot feature, voice comnads, Wi-Fi calling and front facing camera. The feel and colors are premium. The buttons are satisfying but lack a dedicated search button. Voice to text dictation was accurate. The processor offered great performance. Voice commands are activated by pressing the Genius button. Benchmark tests were better than for the T-Mobile G2 but slower than the Samsung Vibrant. Video calling via Qik or Yahoo Messenger did not work well. Outdoor photos were satisfying while indoor photos were not as good. HD videos looked jerky. Voice quality was good. Battery life was fairly strong.
