I answered your question in the other thread. The answer was here the entire time, had you bothered to look for it yourself rather than simply coming in here screaming and expecting everyone to hand you the solution.

I try to help or provide assistance whenever I can, but remember that everyone here are volunteers and you may not get a response right away.

    Dan,
This forum site isn't well participated. Have you tried samsungcaptivateforum.com? Its a more established site. even that site isn't as built up yet. I think this phone is real new. I'm not trying to pull people away from here but if you don't get your answers there are other forum out there.

Yes there are not many involvement in the discussion. This forum has to improve.

Any suggestions? I'd love to see things pick up over here, too!

Two things that occur to me...first, the chances of lightning striking twice (as it did with DroidForums.net) are pretty slim at best. That said, there's this: at this point, AT&T has offered only limited support for Android OS. I think we can all agree that, at present, VZW owns the lion's share of Android devices; and likewise, has done MUCH more to promote the OS. So from this I conclude that as ATT's reliance on the iPhones wanes, ATT will expand their Android choices, and with more device owners will come more members.

Ok, those are my thoughts...what are yours, forum?

I pretty much agree. When the iPhone exclusivity period is up, they'll promote Android a lot more than they are now, I guarantee. But this is hardly the worst forum ever. XDA is much more pissy about LOTS of things. Here is much more friendly. We just need more active members through the day. Some people come and post a question here and don't get an immediate answer and figure there's something wrong. Well, there's not, it's just there's not many people here to give an answer immediately. The main thing I'd like to see is some way to simplify the view of the forum. VBulletin is great, but I'm a frequent poster at NBR forums, and there we have an option to have the default VB page style. Page loads are quicker, and much easier to navigate like that, especially in a forum setting. I haven't seen any way to change that here though. I think this site has potential though, and it will get more traffic in the coming months if we can be a nice helpful bunch, and generally keep people coming back for new updates, fixes and such. But that's just my $.02

I think a lot of the trouble here is that initially this site was dedicated solely to the Backflip. Most of the old crew seem to have moved on, or at least don't post very often. Not sure if it's because they got frustrated with the phone and have traded or moved to other devices, or if they left when the site changed.

I'd post a lot more like I used to except I really have no questions just waiting for 2.1...

I agree with this 110%. Look what happened to Allshadow.com, they added more forums, but it was too little too late. Most of the users have gotten different phones that had no forums there or moved on to sites with active support forums. These days it's a ghost town. I'm the last active moderator left, even the admins have completely abandoned it.

More forums should take a note from XDA, they have always adapted to change(they support several non-htc phones now) and added forums before there was even a demand for them, and the userbase is unmatched IMO. I think there are over 2 million members now. If you need Captivate support, you should go there. There is a very active Captivate forum, and even active developers making custom ROMs as you can see in my signature.

Well, my two cents worth, the Backflip has very few forums to choose from. This site gets more Backflip traffic than anything else. I switched to the Captivate and then the X10 (the Captivate was just too buggy and annoying for me). I really like my X10 but the X10 forum here has really no activity. All the X10 discussion happens on XDA. I tried starting a couple topics but there just aren't enough users who know about this forum. Is there anyway to get more exposure for this site?

Also, I am thinking of getting a WP7 device soon too. Maybe if the site broadened into AT&T Smartphones, or something to that effect, it would have more appeal?
