Press Shot of the HTC Inspire 4G

Around this time every year there are leaks from just about all the major tech companies ahead of CES announcements. What we have here seems to be AT&T's first flagship HTC Android handset pictured in an advertisement in Rolling Stones Magazine completely ahead of any official announcement from HTC. From the picture it looks an awful lot like the Desire HD, just "AT&T-ified". Take into account the specs of the Desire HD and we're looking at a new high-end premium Android phone from AT&T featuring a 1GHz second generation Snapdragon CPU along with an updated Adreno 205 GPU. What makes this product really stand out though, is that it's slated as a "4G" handset. AT&T has stated on their website that LTE will be coming in 2011 to "select markets", but currently there are no markets officially announced, which begs the question... When will AT&T start to light up their LTE markets? Or will they go the path of T-Mobile and re-label HSPA+ to "4G" until their LTE networks are up? What do you expect of this phone and AT&T's plans?

Wow, this phone kind of came out of nowhere! This could definitely be a contender for the Motorola Olympus. I'd rather see AT&T roll out their own 4G network instead of rebranding the TMobile network. Hopefully Austin wil be one of the first cities to roll out 4G.
