Feature Discount?

What exactly is a feature discount? Right below my employee discount is a 12% feature discount. I've had it for as long as I've had my employee discount, but I never understood what it was for. For some reason I was thinking it was a discount for accessories, but I realize my accessory discount is separate from that with a higher percentage. From the wording alone I would assume it was a discount on added features to the phone such as a data plan, but it is definitely not discounting my data plan.

Any help with this would be awesome.

It could simply be a discount for a promotional rate. For example, my current plan is a promotion where I get the $30 data plan for $10 as long as I have it on every line in our family plan.

I actually have the same data discount promo as well. Basically, all of my unlimited data plans are discounted by $20. However, I have had this feature discount long before receiving the data promo but it has never actually discounted anything. A Google search shows nothing relevant but does show that in the past this feature discount was applied to data plans. I guess I'll just have to give VZW a call to clarify what it's for.
