I've been waiting patiently, even though my phone is literally broken (will only text, cannot make calls). I really want the nexus one, but since it seems that there is not even a solid rumor as to when the n1 is coming out, what would happen if I bought a droid now and then returned it within the month? I heard about the restocking fee, but if the n1 were subsidized could i buy the droid, return it and still get a subsidized n1 price?
You have to pay a $35 restocking fee.

I could get an htc incredible, (come on guys, you know it has the same specs as N1, but better camera) but with sense ui, or an N1

can anyone tell me if you can disable the sense ui via rooting ? (im going to be rooting the phones no matter what) and
    what exactly is sense ui?
LOL how do you know you don't like senseui if you've never used it. Personally i love it, it gives you 7 screens of real estate instead of just 3 and gives you a bunch of useful widgets. Theres several widgets i couldn't do without that are a part of senseui.

I dont think I would hate it but I dont want to be delay in updates. At the rate android updates come out I rather be able to upgrade at the same time

You only have to pay a restocking fee if you're exchanging the droid for a different device. If you simply return the droid within 30 days and use your old phone until you get the nexus one, you will NOT need to pay a restocking fee. You also retain your upgrade eligibility.

And yes, if you return the droid within 30 days, you would still be eligible for the subsidized price of the N1. Hope this helps.

I'll definitely get the N1 over the incredible if anything just for the design. The N1 is much better looking in my opinion than the incredible.

i'm positive. look up on youtube htc desire turned into nexus one or something like that. they take sense of the htc desire. the nexus one is a lot sleeker, much faster to get updates, and i feel like nobody has it which is kind of cool. the incredible looks like every other phone. the n1 is unique

what is it with everyone here bagging on incredibles looks, you may have seen the version earlier, but it looks great.

slimmer and weighs less than nexus.

I mean i know both phones are great, but in all honesty, incredible has the EXACT same features as nexus one.

And for anyone who doesnt know, the 756 mhz processor, is the EXACT same processor the N1 has, they just underclocked it to save battery, so you have more battery life. Ill buy that, then unlock it (via overclocking) to 1ghz, to where it should be.
I will root either phone depending on which one i get, and then i will most likely take of sense ui just for faster performance.

8mpxl camera is actually very good though but i hope either phone is released within the next week.

The production model is even sexier.

It's actually not underclocked either. It was reported to run at 998mhz at full load and idle at 245mhz.

It is better than the Nexus One specs-wise
