If you have the Rogers version of the Nexus One, you should get an AT&T SIM. Otherwise, a T-Mobile SIM will work great.

I regularly switch out the SIM in my Nexus One when I travel.

Thank you for the answer . i have a couple more questions if you don't mind:

Do you buy the card direct from t mobile and does it inculde data?

What about roaming in Canada (excluding Que)....do you know of any sim besides videotron that would work?

Everything on US T-Mobile can be done on their website. You might need to use one of the free proxy site to spoof them into thinking you are already in the US.

You could have the SIM shipped directly to a friend or hotel.

The SIMs usually cost $10US plus an activation. If this is your money (i.e., your company isn't paying for it), your best bet is to go to an actual T-Mobile store or one of their resellers and try to talk them out of the activation. Stores near the border should be used to working with tourists.

I don't travel INTO the US since I'm a resident. I'm only familiar with traveling INTO Taiwan which I do on a very regular basis.

Wow! Thanks for the quick answer!

I read somewhere else in this forum that the videotron nexus one is not unlocked...is yours a videotron version?

Did you buy it with a contract? I thought ALL Nexus Ones were shipped unlocked, but that info is from before the Canadian carriers came on-board.

Mine is unlocked, but it is an AT&T/Rogers band phone.

Ya well I don`t know if the Videotron nexus ones are unlocked I would think so because I don't think Google would have given them the right to sell them if they weren’t but I do know that they are running a Videotron ROM. Which doesn`t change the ui at all just the build number.

    Changing Sim Card Traveling USA

I want to remain with Videotron for Canada but when going to the USA. How does this Sims card work?
Example: I buy the $60 plan from mysimplemobile.com they told me it would work on my Nexus one. So, Ok I remove the Videotron Sims card and replace it with the US carrier sims card. Is that it? is it as simple as that?
I'm assuming when changing to US carrier sims card you get to use a new US assign phone number.
    Thanks

Ya it's pretty much that simple the only other thing you may have to do is change the apn so that is works with that carrier but that is really simple it's just one tap on the screen.

T-Mobile also has prepaid plans. You can pick up a SIM card in pretty much any USA urban shopping mall. Data access can be turned on from your phone for $1.49 per 24 hours.
